Parish Life

The heart of a parish is the Eucharist, but the parish family is the body that makes it a unique and vibrant community with an exciting parish life. Our parish offers a variety of ways to be part of that communal family in addition to the celebration of the sacraments.

Mission Bell PreSchool

Last week Father Leo visited our Pre-K Class. He taught them about Baptism. Our saints were excited to experience the baptism of one of our baby dolls which Father used to illustrate what Baptism looks like. He taught our little saints that baptism is a gift from God to us which initiates us into the family of God and cleanses us of sin. So many of them were eager to share what they recall from their own little brother’s or sister’s baptism. All saints wore white, enjoyed a cross sugar cookie, and brought pictures of their own baptism day! Hooray! Thank you God for the gift of baptism!
Our final fundraiser for this school year will be a fun relaxing time. Grab your family and join us (for a small fee) in the Parish Hall on Saturday, March 7, between 10:30 am and 1:30 pm.
We’ll feature:
∗  Kid friendly BINGO
∗  Yumalicious concessions
∗  Fun Raffle baskets
∗  Auction opportunities on a couple of sweet lap quilts donated by our very SJSP quilters!
Thanks brothers and sisters for your continuous support of the parish and our ministry! For more information, call Miss Cheryl at 802-6375. You are a friend we haven’t met yet!

Get on the Bus

It’s time to get together for Get on the Bus! This year St. Serra will be supporting Mother’s Day and Father’s Day busses to take children in our community to see their incarcerated parent. We need volunteers to help with the bake sale, people to collect toys and stuff backpacks for the children, shop for teddy bears and snacks, and others to be hosts on the day of the event. Our first volunteer meeting is Wednesday, March 11th at 7:30 in Room 1. Look for the volunteers in the purple tshirts to get more information, to make a donation, or to volunteer for this amazing ministry. Maureen Kubli 661.722.3901
